If you wish to check the size of the master cylinder, just look on the front of the master cylinder casting by the piston and a number will be cast in. 11 for 11 mm, 12 for 12 mm, 14 for 14 mm size bore/piston. For 5/8 (15.875 mm), 5 or 8 are normally used to denote the bore size.
